I started running in 2008 with the idea that I was going to enter my 40’s healthier than I lived my 30’s. In fact, I have run several half marathons just to prove myself.
When I’m not running, I can often be found knitting. There’s just something comforting about the repetition of stitches coupled with the soft strands of cashmere or silk. It’s not even about the finished product, really.
And just to keep it even more exciting, I took up playing the violin. Being an adult beginner on such a demanding instrument is harder than I thought it would be. I love it, even if everyone thinks I’m crazy for doing it.
With my husband, two kids, full time job, and volunteer work, I stay pretty busy. Running, knitting and playing the violin keep me sane.
